There were two men:
The first man made every effort to give and give when ever there was a need and when he could be seen.
Yes, he wanted people to see what he did.
He knew it was good to give and that if people saw him giving he would be considered good…maybe? why not?
Actually when this man gave and people saw, they would tell him “You are a good man!”
That made this man feel good and so he would give again, to be seen and to be told “You are a good man!”
The second man also gave but no one saw. How do I know? Trust me when I tell you, there is a second man who gives and no one sees…except God.
This man gives for a different reason.
No one sees so know one can respond to his giving to tell him he is a good man. In fact He gives and gives again, but why?
Jesus said, “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 6:1)
I know we all love to give and some will see our giving but what if we were careful to give? How we give?
Would you prefer to be told how good you are and receive your acknowledgement from mere men, society, the world?
Maybe even receive a plaque from the City?
Have Almighty God bestow upon you…yes, God give you a reward from Him!
“No eye has seen, no ear has hear, no mind can conceive that which God has prepared for those who love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9)
Shhhh, and lets give
